Welcome to the Summer edition of Radha-Krishna Prema.

In this issue we focus on Srila Gurudeva's recent visit to the Ty Glyn Davis Centre near Ciliau Areon in West Wales this May. Our main feature is an edited transcript of a class given by Srila Gurudeva at the beginning of the week. This is the first of a series to be continued in the next and subsequent issues.

We also have an essay written by Srila Gurudeva's worthy disciple Syamasundara dasa, who along with the humble devotee community living in Wales, the bouncing brahmacaris from Birmingham, and many others were given the merciful service of arranging the whole event. This essay gives us a real insight into the heart of a committed and sincere devotee and how by faith a seemingly impossible task became not only possible but also perfectly and practically realized.

The whole event in Wales was such a perfect arrangement and to echo the comments made by those attending, we would not have wished it any other way. On both an individual and collective level we all needed the opportunity to meet with Srila Gurudeva physically and receive his mercy, guidance, instruction and encouragement once again. The fact that this was not only made possible but also took place in a beautiful idyllic countryside setting at the time of year when it seems nature explodes in a myriad of colour and scents, in glorious sunshine and at the time of the full moon marking the appearance day of Lord Nrshingadeva just added to the delight of the whole amazing experience of being with Gurudeva and over two hundred and fifty family members. There were approximately forty or so initiations and ample opportunity for all to have personal darsan and sanga with Srila Gurudeva.

Many new friendships were made, old ones rekindled and the sense of a growing family community prevailed. It appears that Gurudeva has given us all an injection of much needed enthusiasm, strength, faith and determination to push forward in our own personal bhajan and seva, to become strong, and to push forward with this mission of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu in whatever way our natural and spontaneous propensity flows.

"O Krishna, the nectar of Your words and the narration's of Your pastimes give life to us, who are always suffering in this material world. This nectar is broadcast all over the world by great souls, and it removes all sinful reactions. It is all auspicious and filled with spiritual power. Those who spread this message of Godhead are certainly doing the greatest relief work of mankind."

 Srimad Bhagavatam 10.31.9.

All glories to Sri Hari, Sri Guru and Sri Vaisnava!

Vaisnava dasanudasa,
